Religious Spotlight: The Taoists
Taoism is an ancient Chinese religion and philosophy based on the texts of Dao De Ching written in the 6th centry BCE. With approximately 20 million modern followers, Taoists bring us familiar symbols such as the Yin and Yang, fake body energies such as "Chi" or "Qi", and the unproven art of arranging furniture in a room to maximize your fortune known as Feng Shui.
Some of the lesser known ideas in Taoism have to do with beliefs regarding immortality and sexual practices. Some Taoists believe that the union of a man and a woman generates a transcendent sexual energy known as "jing". Jing is a replenishing life force that can have beneficial health effects and, if channeled properly, can lead to immortality. There are several explicit texts on how to maximize jing and transform it into nourishment for your life force.
Which of the following is NOT a sexual practice to lengthen life and eventually gain immortality?
A. Sex with pre-menstrual virgins
